Silver by the Shore (Durga Pooja)
Outfit - Namrata Wadhwani Creations |
Hola guys!
I’ve been wanting to do something with white fabric and silver jewellery for a while now, it being such a classic combination. Even though Indian textiles are known for being colourful, my wardrobe is still dominated by blacks and whites. I personally feel oxidised jewellery looks good with almost everything.
In this look, I've paid attention to tradition with comfort. An occasion as special as Durga Pooja, it is incomplete unless you wear a bindi. I opted for a black colour. However, if you are not too comfortable doing that, try going for a maang tikka. Now coming to comfort, follow the latest trends but do not compromise on the comfort factor whatsoever.
For Pooja at home with loved ones, I would definitely wear this look. Subtle yet elegant. You can wear neutral shades and keep the make up light. I went for winged eyes, probably for the first time in my life. Saree or even an Anarkali suit, you can select anything depending on what your mood dictates. I'm wearing this lovely draped white outfit and a long jacket from Namrata Wadhwani Creations. She's a lovely designer and was kind enough to understand my needs and make this gorgeous outfit.
Durga is someone who's powerful from inside, emotionally strong and capable of handling life's challenges. No problem is too big for her. She is an everyday woman leading an ordinary life.
Just keep these style tips for Durga Pooja in mind and get ready for this beautiful festivity. After all, every woman is a Goddess! :)
These photographs are clicked by a friend of mine, Sajid Shaikh. We were worried about the gloomy weather, but hopefully, we got some good shots :-) '
